There has been much to do about herbs being safe when used in conjunction with pharmaceuticals. While it is true there are interactions between herbs and drugs, for the most part, none of them are negative. The bottom line of it is, most herbs allow a person to take LESS drugs, therefore experience less pharmaceutical side effects. Please consult the following list to determine if you need to be concerned about the herbs and drugs you are taking. Contact your physician, making him/her aware of your use of botanicals. Do not allow your MD to bully you into stopping herbal therapy. Remember, they are not trained in phytochemicstry and therefor are generally under or misinformed about botanicals.

The following is a thumbnail sketch of herb/drug interaction. It is not meant to provide anything more than general information to the public. Consult a professional herbalist for you personal concerns.
